Following the announcement on Venmo’s official page that they were giving away money, Twitter users were ready to join in the fun.

The business is headquartered in New York City and was established in 2009.
Venmo, which is a part of PayPal, is a peer-to-peer mobile payment system.

#VenmoMe: The hashtag “Venmo Me” started trending on the social media site Twitter on September 22, 2022.
After the payment app fabricated a tweet from their official account, Venmo Me began to spread.
The well-known app tweeted: “#VenmoMe has a new year. Today, we’re awarding $10,000. Send this around on Twitter with your Venmo handle, and you might get a $100, $250, or $500 reward.”
Venmo goes on: “Must adhere to @Venmo. No purchase is necessary. Ends 1/5. only available in the US; must be at least 18 years old. Venmo account required http://venmo.me/vm Rules”

On January 5, a huge number of Twitter users reacted to the trending message from Venmo.
People used their Venmo handles in their quote tweets and retweets in response to the post.
