The man dies after putting fire in the Supreme Court Square
A man who set fire on Friday on the square in front of the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, DC, has died.
The man was identified as Wynn Bruce de Boulder, Colorado, an MPD spokesman said on Saturday.
Bruce had been dragged by plane to a hospital in Washington, where he died, according to the department.
The Supreme Court Police, the United States Capitol Police and the MPD had responded to the incident, which occurred on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
No one else was injured in the incident, a spokesman for the Supreme Court said on Friday.
The area around the Superior Court was closed on Friday for additional investigation, according to the spokesman for the Court.
CNN observed on Saturday that the scene in the Supreme Court Square had returned to normal.
