On Thursday night, Jacoby Brissett and the Cleveland Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, though it wasn’t always ideal.
At FirstEnergy Stadium, the Browns defeated the Steelers 29-17 courtesy to a lengthy touchdown drive to start the fourth quarter and a last-second defensive touchdown. The victory provides the Browns an advantage over a divisional foe and helps them forget their defeat to the New York Jets on Sunday.

As the Browns’ starter in place of Deshaun Watson on Thursday, Brissett completed 21 of his 31 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns, probably his greatest outing. Nick Chubb, a running back, recorded 113 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown for his second 100-yard performance of the year.
Following the victory, Chubb declared on Amazon Prime Video, “Jacoby’s a dog man.” “He’s a tremendous leader for us, he speaks up, and he creates plays. He’s going to write the play we need for us.

Brissett and Chubb guided the Browns down the field on an 11-play, 80-yard drive that gave them a two-point lead to begin the fourth quarter. With the exception of a long, 32-yard pass to Amari Cooper, Chubb handled the most of the drive on the ground.
After a late, promising drive of their own, the Steelers converted a field goal for the first time in a while and recovered the ball within their own 5-yard line in the waning seconds. But after a disastrous final drive and multiple laterals, Denzel Ward recovered a fumble in the end zone to give Cleveland a 12-point victory.
