Ime Udoka, the head coach of the Boston Celtics, discovered himself trending on social media this week for all the wrong reasons.(Nia Long)
Udoka was reportedly “facing probable disciplinary punishment” from the Celtics late on Thursday night, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, for “an undefined breach of organizational norms.”

Given the ambiguity of that post, rumors about what Udoka did specifically spread like wildfire. A unknown Twitter user appeared to make a hypothesis about what might be the cause of all this around the same time:
People immediately started to believe that this tweet was sent from a burner account.
Bruh. He cheated on Nia Long? https://t.co/fDi25YNzuB— Alex B. Smith (@axsmithsports) September 22, 2022
Nia Long, the wife of Udoka, soon became popular for obvious reasons.
Long’s spectacular dance celebration videos during Boston’s postseason run helped her become a fan favorite.
It is obvious that no one is in the know and that all of this is merely rumor and speculation. Having said that, you should never make headlines for something like this.
justice for Nia Long https://t.co/BLfj44JKZj— Obi Buns Kenobi (@GNoUnion) September 22, 2022
The excellent 2021–22 NBA season that Udoka had with the Celtics is now being tarnished. How much will become clear in time.
A recent deal involving the Celtics has been mentioned, but this drama will undoubtedly take precedence.
How will Udoka and Boston’s scandalous affair ultimately end?
There should be a resolution soon enough.
